The Walter service
Walter is a service for saving, processing, importing, organizing and retrieving internet content. You send Walter links, files and uploads, and Walter builds a private, searchable library from them.
Eligibility and your account
You must be old enough to enter a contract in your country and at least 16 to use Walter. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
Third-party content and services
- Walter links to and processes content hosted by external services.
- Walter does not control those services or the content they host.
- Original content may be changed, restricted or removed by its host at any time.
- External platforms may change or restrict their APIs, which can affect what Walter can import or process.
User-directed processing
You instruct Walter what to save and import. To provide the service, you grant Walter the limited, non-exclusive permission needed to store, transmit, analyze and display the content you select back to you inside Walter. That permission exists only to run the service for you and ends when you delete the content or your account.
Walter does not claim ownership of the material you save.
Acceptable use
- Don't use Walter for unlawful purposes or to store unlawful content.
- Don't attempt to compromise, disrupt or reverse engineer the service.
- Don't use abusive automated access, scraping or bulk requests against Walter.
- Don't use Walter to infringe others' rights beyond legitimate personal use of the content you save.
Intellectual property
Walter's software, branding, design and original service components are owned by Marlow Avenue Unipessoal Lda. Third-party content saved through Walter remains owned by its respective rights holders.
Accuracy
Walter analyzes source content automatically. Summaries, transcripts, categories and extracted details may occasionally be incomplete or incorrect. When accuracy matters — ingredients, dosages, instructions, prices — refer to the original source.
Availability
We aim to keep Walter available and working, but changes made by external platforms may affect the ability to import or process specific content, and maintenance or incidents may cause downtime.
Early Access and pricing
Walter is currently free during Early Access. Paid plans may be introduced later. You will not be charged without clear advance notice and your explicit consent.
Termination and deletion
You can stop using Walter at any time and delete your account and data — see Data requests. We may suspend or restrict access in cases of serious or repeated breaches of these terms, or where required by law.
Liability
Walter is provided with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, or for loss of content you have not kept a copy of elsewhere. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including mandatory consumer rights under EU and Portuguese law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as Walter develops; the effective date is shown at the top of this page and we will give notice of material changes. Questions: hey@savewalter.com.
